A drone halted the Premier League match between Brentford and Wolves today - and the incident has shown the value of having drone defence at football grounds and other sporting arenas.
The 'unofficial' aircraft was spotted flying over the Brentford Community Stadium during the first half, forcing the players to leave the pitch.
The game was halted for 15 minutes before players returned to the field of play and the match was restarted following a warm up.
While the drone did not cause any damage, it did cause disruption and could have been illegally filming footage of the game - although the real reasons of the flight are unknown at this time.
