The service provides a platform for drone users to connect with each other socially. It also acts as a professional marketplace for commercial UAV services to reach their clients.
Enabling drone pilots to interact and share knowledge, DJI+ Discover also streamlines access to their online store and keeps people up to date with upcoming events.
DJI+ Discover Features
As of its launch, the app is divided into four easy-to-navigate areas:
Nearby Search allows users to connect socially and professionally. Social users are given the option to connect while professionals can showcase offers and services to attract new clients. The professional section will also include the option for users to post reviews on various providers’ service pages.
Experience directs consumers to local suppliers and events hosted by DJI with more interactive features to be announced.
Store is self-explanatory, taking users to the online shop.
Forum connects directly to the official forums, which have been integrated into the app to facilitate discussion of products, tips and best.
Speaking on the subject of the launch, Paul Guo, Director of E-Commerce at DJI had this to say:
"Drone pilots like to get together to fly, learn from each other and share experiences with like-minded people. In the same way, people want an easy way to find trustworthy professional aerial service providers nearby."
"DJI+ Discover lets people in the same area connect socially and professionally in a way that will bind the drone community even tighter together."
Leveraging the company's existing customer base as well as any newcomers, there is potential to make a massive impact on the wider drone ecosystem. If it takes off, it will undoubtedly be a useful tool to enable knowledge sharing and guidance, as well as driving more business towards DJI’s online store.
