In 'Helix' mode you can create enchanting cinematic footage with just a few taps.
Fly complicated routes has been made easy with the 'Helix' mode offered by the DJI Mavic Mini.
In this fast Heliguy™ tutorial you will learn how to use the DJI Mavic Mini 'Helix' mode to create stunning content.
Hover the DJI Mavic Mini at least 2 metres above the ground before you start Helix. We want to aircraft to be at a safe altitude before we begin adjusting the Intelligent Fight Modes.
- Choose 'Helix' in QuickShots
Helix mode can be found within the QuickShot menu at the right hand side of the screen, just above the 'Shutter Release' button.
- Select you flight radius
Choose how far away you want the DJI Mavic Mini to fly. You have the option to have the DJI Mavic Mini shoot from long or short range.
[Tip] Think about how much of the environment you want to keep or keep out of the video.
- Define your subject
You can now select the subject you want the DJI Mavic Mini to follow during Helix mode. This can be an object or subject you want the DJI Mavic Mini to capture as the focal point.
- Tap 'Start' and wait
The DJI Mavic Mini will perform 'Helix' and create a cinematic shot.
[Tip] Always keep your eyes on the DJI Mavic Mini during 'Helix' mode to ensure your flight is going safely.
- Exit QuickShot
Once you have the shot you want you can now exit 'Helix' QuickShot mode. You can do this by clicking the 'X' button at the right hand side of your screen or quick tapping the 'Return Home' button.
Remember, you can always preview and edit your video in the DJI Playback Interface.
