Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced - The Cameras

The Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced has two cameras.

The radiometric thermal camera, which provides HD 640 x 512 px thermal resolution, features a 30Hz frame rate and allows ±2°C temperature measurement accuracy.

Infrared images can be saved as R-JPEG and analysed via the DJI Thermal Analysis Tool.

Operators can also utilise the 48MP visual camera with 1/2" CMOS sensor.

The drone can capture HD images and 4K videos from a safe distance.

Its high-resolution camera sensors support a 32x digital zoom and a 16x thermal zoom, allowing operators to focus on the details that count on aerial inspection missions.

Pilots can switch between visual, thermal, or split-view feeds for different project needs, enabling them to make crucial and informed decisions, quickly.

Operators can also capture infrared and visual imagery at the same time.

Additional features include:

  • Spot Meter: Displays the average temperature of an object, helping pilots monitor and measure critical or hazardous objects while maintaining a safe distance.
  • Area Measurement: Displays the average, lowest, and highest temperature, as well as the corresponding locations of each area, allowing inspectors to quickly assess objects and determine if an asset may be overheating.

Benefit From RTK Technology

Equip a DJI RTK module to the Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced to achieve centimetre-level accuracy.

The Module also supports NTRIP, making the drone an ideal solution for powerline inspections; providing a more reliable flight in areas with high electromagnetic interference.

The RTK Module is available separately.

Create up to 240 waypoints to conduct automated, detailed inspection missions in complex environments.

Data Security and Flight Safety

The Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced has a range of features to keep your data safe.

This enables protection over drone data, photos, videos, flight logs and other mission-generated information.

When operated with the DJI Pilot App, the Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced features Local Data Mode.

This stops the DJI App from sending or receiving any data over the internet, providing added security assurances; especially important for sensitive missions.

Like other DJI enterprise products, the Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced features AES-256 encryption, providing robust security on the radio link between the aircraft and remote controller.

The drone has 24GB of on-board storage, and, to further increase security, it is covered by password protection.

For flight safety, DJI AirSense is present on the Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced. This ADS-B receiver helps warn drone pilots about nearby planes and helicopters.

The Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced also includes 6-directional obstacle sensing.

Operators can also fly in Discreet Mode. This disables the LED navigation lights; perfect for missions that require an unobtrusive flight, especially during the night.

Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced - Accessories

Just like the other drones in the Mavic 2 Enterprise Series, the M2E Advanced is compatible with key modular accessories to expand mission capability and flexibility.

This accessories are:

  • Spotlight: With a brightness of 2,400 lumens, this bright spotlight is ideal for nighttime or low-light operations, as well as during complex daytime conditions, like fog and smoke.
  • Speaker: The loudspeaker has a maximum projection of 100 decibels (1-meter distance). Store multiple voice recordings and play clips on loop to enable communication with ground teams, casualties, or potential offenders.
  • Beacon: Featuring a bright flashing strobe visible from 4.8km (3 miles) away, the beacon enables pilots to conduct missions at night or in low-light and provides awareness to other nearby aircraft. The beacon has been designed with U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Night Waiver standards in mind.

The Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced is also compatible with the DJI Smart Controller.

This popular controller has an ultra-bright 5.5-inch 1080p display to maintain clear visibility, even in direct sunlight.

Speed, Flight Time, And Other Key Features

The Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced has a range of other important features which make it an ideal tool for aerial missions.

Typical of the Mavic family, it is lightweight, portable, and easily transportable.

This is bolstered by its super-fast take-off time - get airborne in less than a minute - and its incredible agility, thanks to fast ascent and descent speeds.

To aid missions in complex environments, the drone can operate in cold conditions as low as -10° C (14° F), thanks to its self-heating batteries.

Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced delivers a maximum flight time of up to 31 minutes and a top speed of 72 km/h (45 mph).

The drone is equipped with OcuSync 2.0, providing a stable connection between the drone and its remote controller.

When unobstructed and free of interference, the drone has a maximum transmission range of 10 km / 6.2 miles (FCC compliant) or 6 km / 3.7 miles (CE).

OcuSync 2.0 has auto-switching capabilities supporting the 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz frequency bands with the capability to use different frequencies for uplink and downlink data streams.

Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced - What DJI Said

DJI is delighted to unveil the Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced as the latest edition of its commercial drone fleet.

Christina Zhang, Senior Director, Corporate Strategy & Communication at DJI, said: "We realised that our Enterprise customers were often using the Mavic 2 Enterprise for industrial inspections where better accuracy and higher resolutions for thermal and visual sensors were critical features to perform a job well.

"Thanks to new key upgrades, the Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced becomes the ideal drone and must-have tool for these types of complex inspections.

“Inspection professionals will be able to pinpoint defects and anomalies with better detail and perform operations and maintenance more effectively.

"Lastly, first responders and firefighters will be able to quickly locate victims, identify hot spots, and screen for fire risks to draft targeted rescue plans while keeping personnel safe.”
